Its almost Christmas. My family put up the christmas lights, tree and decorations last week. I have heard of families who put their christmas stuff right after Halloween. I am glad we are not one of these families.
Everything looks great. Dallin had his Elementry School Christmas program tonight. It was really fun to see Dallin really excited about the program and to see him all dressed up. We video taped some of it for posterity.
Its really cold out side and I am waiting for the first real snow storm. I went fishing all last week. I caught a couple really nice cutts and a really nice 18" Brown. I love fishing the south fork of the snake river. It is my retreat.

Metallica Concert
I went to the Metallica Concert November 3rd 2008 in Salt Lake City. I took my buddy Don and we were bound and determined to get front row seats. We stood in line and were probably within the first 50 to be at the concert.
I had been to one other Metallica concert before. It was at the Usana center in west valley. That was a few years back. This concert was at the energy solutions center in downtown salt lake city. Talk about a big difference. everything about the concert was perfect. The lights, the front row seats and the the band. the only drawback was the accoustics.
The music was awesome. Though it was just difficult to understand at times. The center is not designed for loud music. The band played 5 songs off of their new album, "Death Magnetic". I was really impressed with "the day that never comes" song from the same album. Another song that I really enjoyed hearing was "disposable heroes".
I told my wife that this is the last metallica concert I am going too. I sometimes wonder......
